North Hertfordshire's Voluntary Sector Fair is back after two years, bringing to light many new and different voluntary opportunities. A total of 68 organisations will be exhibiting at this Heritage Foundation event, sponsored by North Herts CVS and North Hertfordshire College, on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 October at two nearby venues – the Plinston and the Goldsmith Centre – both on Broadway, Letchworth Garden City.

Windows project proves a success

In September 2005, the Heritage Foundation announced a window replacement Moratorium for Letchworth Garden City residents, in order to try and resolve the increasing problems of non-compliant windows.

Heritage Buildings open to the public

The Spirella BuildingMany of Letchworth Garden City's heritage buildings and places of worship will be open to the public on the weekend of 10 and 11 September 2005. Some of these buildings are not usually open to visitors and you 'll be treated to talks and guided walks. In addition to being able to admire the buildings, both outside and inside, there 'll be a number of opportunities to enjoy exhibitions, music, poetry, art and flower festivals.

Centenary Fireworks at Norton Common

Fireworks at Norton CommonThe skies above Letchworth Garden City exploded with light and colour last Saturday evening, 27 September, when a spectacular free fireworks display for all the family took place on Norton Common. This was the biggest ever display of fireworks seen in the world's first Garden City.
