A school in the world’s first Garden City that recently received the Hertfordshire Quality Standards Award for its Early Years Unit, has good cause to celebrate.

Stuart Kenny, Director General of Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, officially opened the Early Years Unit at Stonehill School, last Friday, in Western Way, on the Grange Estate.

The Unit – which was set-up in January 2009 - provides both excellent playground and indoor facilities.
 

With half term just round the corner (15-19 February) the Heritage Foundation is on hand to offer the perfect selection in family entertainment.

On 29 January 1999, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales officially re-opened The Spirella Building following the £10 million transformation of the internationally famous former corset and swimwear factory.
