Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation has a large portfolio of retail premises in the Town Centre and is currently proposing a major redevelopment to the street scene, The Wynd and Arena Parade.

The Heritage Foundation’s portfolio includes properties in The Arcade, The Wynd, The Gallery as well as some of the town’s key shopping streets Leys Avenue, Eastcheap, Arena Parade and Broadway.

The Arcade
This historic 1922 walkway has been refurbished to create a pleasant shopping environment. Currently home to range of retailers including a traditional sweet shop, travel agent, bakery, café and arts centre the majority shops have a ground floor area of 300 sq ft, the perfect size for start-up or small independent retailer.

The Wynd & The Gallery
Beyond The Arcade, there are more specialist shops in The Wynd and a number of health and beauty outlets in The Gallery.

Leys Avenue
One of Letchworth Garden City’s key shopping streets Leys Avenue features a number of gifts shops and banks and is in close proximity to Leys Square and Garden Square Shopping Centre. Leys Square is often home to events and markets, with Letchworth Garden City Town Centre Partnership operating a monthly farmers’ market.

Eastcheap
Eastcheap has a number of units of 1,000 sq ft and a range of retailers and eateries including a dry cleaners, pine furniture store and pizza restaurant. Eastcheap is close to the shopping centre and Broadway Cinema.

Arena Parade & Broadway
Featuring units of 500 - 750 sq feet, Arena Parade & Broadway is home to a number of independent retailers and restaurants including a fish and chip shop, pharmacy, hairdressers, stationers and gift shop.

Garden Square Shopping Centre also adds to the Garden City’s retail offer boasting major stores including Boots, New Look and Bodyshop. Garden Square Shopping Centre is not owned or operated by Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.
