Marilyn Hands heads up the Heritage Foundation's property directorate which includes teams covering commercial and industrial assets (management and letting of business space), planning and development (including the managing applications from Letchworth householders to alter their Garden City homes), repairs and maintenance and information and IT.

She has wide experience of managing property portfolios. Her former posts include Head of Development and later, Deputy County Planning & Estate Officer for Hertfordshire County Council. She was Director of Property Services at the London Borough of Enfield. Prior to coming to Letchworth Garden City, she ran her own property consultancy.
