Tourist Information Centre passes with flying colours!

When it comes to customer service, Letchworth Garden City’s Tourist Information Centre is leading the way...

Tourism South East carried out a Mystery Shopper at their Station Road shop, covering all aspects of quality of service that a customer is likely to experience, when visiting a Tourist Information Centre.

They achieved a superb 97 per cent overall mark, after a mystery shopper visit, phone call and email enquiry.

The assessor graded the shop on its signage, cleanliness, information display, staff appearance, range of saleable goods and quality of service. The phone call was judged on the politeness and professionalism of the service given and the accuracy of the information provided. The email enquiry was judged on the response time, the information provided and the tone and style of the text.

Funded and run by the Heritage Foundation, Heather McLaughlin, the Tourist Information Centre Manager, said “We're delighted to have scored so highly once again in our Mystery Shopper audit; rewarding my team for all the effort and dedication they show serving our customers everyday".
