Is your Letchworth Garden City club registered to elect?

16 of the Foundation’s 30 Governors are elected by the people of, and organisations operating in, Letchworth Garden City.

Six are elected every five years through a postal ballot of electors. One is appointed by the County Council and another by the District Council.

Eight are directly elected by Letchworth Garden City clubs, charities and organisations. At the present time, there are over 130 such organisations ‘registered’ with the Foundation for this purpose.

If your club would like to become involved in the elections to select Nominated Governors, we would like to hear from you:

• Sign up in two of eight different categories
• Category of Club/Society (Choose up to two):
   - Preservation of buildings and other items of historical interest
   - Preservation of the environment
   - Artistic and cultural activities
   - Sporting activities
   - Other recreational activities
   - Social welfare and the relief of poverty
   - Education
   - Health
• Nominate one of your members to stand for election as the Governor in those categories.
• Be on the selection panel to elect the Governors in those categories.
