A school in the world’s first Garden City that recently received the Hertfordshire Quality Standards Award for its Early Years Unit, has good cause to celebrate.
Stuart Kenny, Director General of Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, officially opened the Early Years Unit at Stonehill School, last Friday, in Western Way, on the Grange Estate.
The Unit – which was set-up in January 2009 - provides both excellent playground and indoor facilities.
The Standards Award cited that the Unit comprised of “a strongly led team who had the vision to create an ongoing quality early Years Unit which now meets the needs of all their children.”
Julie Whittemore is the Early Years Leader.
