Photographic Talent Rewarded

The Letchworth Garden City Tourist Information Centre celebrated the conclusion of its community photographic competition; ‘Picture This’, on Friday evening, September 10.

During the summer months residents, locals and visitors to the town were tasked with ‘snapping’ their favourite Letchworth Garden City building or public space to take part in the contest.

Heather McLaughlin, Manager of the Tourist Information Centre, said: “We received a tremendous selection of over 100 photographs from 42 entrants, framing scenes including: the new fountains and sculptures in the town centre; Norton Common; the Garden City Greenway; the Broadway Cinema and many more”.

Thirteen lucky winners were selected to feature in a Letchworth Garden City 2011 calendar; each picking up a Kodak seven-inch digital photo frame; along with a copy of the calendar.
