The minibus service functions to enable the elderly, as well as residents with mobility problems, to attend clubs, societies and functions within Letchworth Garden City. The service operates from Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and Saturday work (subject to prior booking), from either of the two vehicles.

The service is extremely popular, with the minibuses covering approximately nineteen thousand miles and carrying ten thousand passengers every year. Both of the minibuses are corporately branded sixteen-seated vehicles, with a rear tail-lift for the provision of wheelchairs, and are painted white, blue and green, each carrying the Heritage Foundations’ logo and name. No costs are incurred for the use of this service, providing that the destination and all stops are within the Garden City Estate. All the funding for this service is provided as part of the Foundations’ object to, ‘provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the recreation or other leisure activity of the local community in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their life conditions’.
