Design Guidance

This Design Guidance publication provides detailed advice to owners and their professional advisers. North Hertfordshire District Council has contributed to the Design Guidance and adopted it as Supplementary Planning Guidance to the Local Plan.

It includes 'do's and don'ts' on property maintenance, alterations and extensions, to help ensure that any changes to Garden City properties, whether old or new, are in harmony with their original design and character and are appropriate to the area in which they are situated.
