Plinston is a community venue, providing a varied programme of entertainment and activities, including tribute music acts and exhibitions, as well as a meeting place for over 25 local clubs and societies throughout the week. Operated to embrace the Foundations’ second object of, ‘providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for the recreation or other leisure activity of the local community in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life’, with the main aim of improving the standard, quality and scope of sports, recreational and leisure facilities within the Garden City.

With such and excellent links to the local community, it is essential for Plinston to maintain effective liaison with clubs and other providers in order to be aware of future needs, and inform of any grants or interest free loans available for events or community initiatives. Private functions and business conferences are frequently held at Plinston too. With a number of different sizeable rooms and a large main hall, it is suitable for any event.
