People going on to higher education should apply to The Secretary, Letchworth Civic Trust, Broadway Chambers, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3AD.

Elderly, Retirement and Disabled Clubs

The Heritage Foundation provides a cost per head contribution to Christmas lunches for members of Letchworth Garden City elderly and retirement clubs provided those events take place in Letchworth. Such clubs may also apply for assistance towards the transport costs of an outing beyond the Garden City.

Exceptions

Please note the Foundation is unable to consider grants for:

  • Projects that have already been initiated with expenditure already committed or incurred.
  • VAT – where the applicant organisation is registered with the Inland Revenue and able to reclaim VAT.
  • Political, religious or trade union organisations, other than projectsfor church halls that can demonstrate a wider community use, i.e. they are already home to and available for hire by community groups outside the church’s organisation – or for elderly and retirement clubs, as above.
  • Projects benefiting individual schools. However, through its Education Development Manager and Education Steering Committee, the Heritage Foundation does invest in substantive, collaborative projects targeted to benefit Primary and Secondary Schools in Letchworth Garden City.
