The Settlement

Community Hall and Theatre Extension
The Settlement was successful in obtaining a grant from the Waste Recycling Environment Ltd (WREN) for £45,000 towards the cost of extending the community hall and theatre.
The Settlement Players, who organise three productions a year, were keen for the extension to take place, as the original building has, in the past, prevented them from staging larger productions, involving more people.
he extension includes a second dressing room area, improved access to both sides of the stage, a toilet facility within the stage area, scenery storage areas, an internal area for disabled access to the stage and a workshop for general maintenance of the whole centre.
The Foundation awarded a grant of £4,950 to WREN, as a third party, to cover the cost of related administration costs for the project.
