Keith Emsall is the member of Hertfordshire County Council for the electoral division of Letchworth South. Originally elected to the authority in 1997, he is currently its Vice-Chairman and Chairman of its Community Strategy Panel.
He was previously a District Council on North Hertfordshire District Council from 1978 to 1991 and served on the Board of Letchworth Garden City Corporation from 1988 to 1992.

Keith is a Governor of Lordship Farm JMI School and a Regional Board member of a nationally-based Housing Association. He is a founding member of the Letchworth Garden City Society, a former chairman of the Architectural Heritage Advisory Group and is a churchwarden at Letchworth Parish Church. He is also a Trustee of Letchworth Civic Trust.

His interests include history, travel and information technology.
