The First Garden City Heritage Museum is the world’s leading archive and information point on the development of Letchworth Garden City, and the early Garden City Movement.

The museum tells the story of the Garden City Movement from its origins to the present day. It is housed in a beautiful and unique building designed in 1907 by the architect Barry Parker. You can visit Barry Parker’s office, filled with hand-made Arts and Crafts furniture and enjoy the regularly-changing temporary exhibitions programme, which explores the social history of Letchworth Garden City.

The museum also offers a selection of talks and presentations to local community groups (subject to a small fee), please contact the museum for details of currently available talks. In addition, there are a selection of workshops and outreach programmes available for schools. For more information click here.
