Heritage Buildings open to the public
Many of Letchworth Garden City's heritage buildings and places of worship will be open to the public on the weekend of 10 and 11 September 2005. Some of these buildings are not usually open to visitors and you 'll be treated to talks and guided walks. In addition to being able to admire the buildings, both outside and inside, there 'll be a number of opportunities to enjoy exhibitions, music, poetry, art and flower festivals.
2005 marks the Centenary of Letchworth Garden City's cheap cottages exhibition, when 60,000 people flocked to the town to view sound housing available from just £150. To celebrate this milestone, you will be able to relive the experience with a free 'Exhibition Trail' and guided walks.
Open Saturday 10 September: 10am - 5pm; Sunday 11 September: 12 noon - 4pm.
