Surfin Cafe arrives in the Garden City

Letchworth town centre's latest attraction officially opened its doors for business on Saturday 16 October. Surfin Café, based at 27 Leys Avenue, specialises in Costa continental coffees, teas, juices, freshly baked patisseries, gateaux, luxury ice-cream and assorted savoury foods.
"The concept is to position the café as a focal point for Letchworth residents and as a welcoming oasis for new visitors to the area," says Surfin Café Director Jonathan Medlock. "The interior is designed with comfort in mind with easy 'areas' for customers to read or chat in a non-smoking environment."
Outside Mediterranean-style seating is provided to encourage eating and drinking outside all year round with heaters, about to be installed. Surfin Café opened their first outlet in Biggleswade in July 2003 where it has proved to be a huge success.
"Surfin Café is an excellent and welcome addition to the town centre," said Heritage Foundation Director General, Stuart Kenny, assisting Jonathan, fellow Director John McCann and their staff to mark the launch of their second outlet.
