Search for a Star!

The world's first Garden City's classy version of 'Pop Idol' - without 'Mr Nasty' Simon Cowell and the tortuous auditions - awaits budding performers.

As part of the 'Summer on Broadway' fun-packed day, on 3 July, the semi-final and finals of the 'search For A Star' talent contest, is bound to hit the high notes with wide-ranging musical performances.

Solo and duo performers of all ages are invited to enter the competition by either singing and/or playing an instrument and then have the chance to playing in front of thousands of people.

Eight chosen performers - following a friendly audition - will be invited to perform a single piece of 'original' or 'cover' music with pre-recorded backing material, or with their own accompaniment.

The overall winner will spend a day recording in a local studio.
