'Drawing' the crowds to Letchworth

The Big DrawLetchworth Garden City town centre comes alive this Saturday, 16 October, when a whole host of family activities are on offer as part of National Family Learning Week.

Activities include The Big Draw, taking place at The Children's Library (a.m.), The Place, Morrisons (a.m.) and Brotherhood Hall (p.m.). Come along and create your colourful journey as part of Wendy Briggs' Journey exhibition, make a word journey or design a family pod. Drop in to Garden Square shopping centre for musical madness with 'Family Jams' , or visit the First Garden City Heritage Museum on Norton Way South to view the current exhibition, "Cabbage Fritters and Brown Nut Bitters".

Also in town is the Farmers Market, open for business in Leys Square from 9am to 1.30pm, and it's the grand opening of the Surfin Cafe at 9am (cafe open from 8am to 6pm).
