100 Years Young!
The world's first Garden City has been in overdrive this year with over 120 events staged to celebrate the town's Centenary.
From the opening of the Greenway - a 13.6 mile route around Letchworth Garden City to improve rural access for walkers and in parts wheelchair users, cyclists and horses, to a magnificent firework display; from the live broadcast of BBC's Radio 4 'Any Questions' at Plinston Hall to a magical weekend of musical attractions in the heart of the town, which attracted over 5000 people. These are just a few of the many events that have been held over an extremely frenetic year.
What has delighted many people in and around the world's first Garden City has been the very large number of organisations and groups within the town that have organised their own diverse Centenary events.
